Top Hat Deli is an absolute GEM for breakfast or lunch. I usually roll in for breakfast (because let’s be honest… breakfast food just hits different), and it never disappoints. I’ve been here multiple times and somehow it gets better every single visit. There’s always something new and exciting on the menu, which makes it very dangerous for someone like me who wants to try everything. On my last trip, I ordered the omelette chili special — and WOW. It was insanely good. Also… absolutely massive. I’m not exaggerating when I say you might want to split it with someone unless you’re training for a competitive eating contest. Excellent NY deli. We had pizza bagels, pastrami sandwich, a cocktail and a brookie (brownie/cookie). Great stuff! Food was brought to table exceptionally fast. Check out the size of the brookie - it may have been a half pound! Good thing that we arrived early for lunch because the place was packed by 12:15pm. Would definitely eat here again.

We were in town for a wedding and just looking for a place near the hotel to grab lunch. I had no idea how much fate had smiled upon us when we found Top Hat just down the street. It was spectacular. We ended up eating breakfast and/or lunch or getting takeout there every day until we went home. The Classic was delicious. I needed a nap after it. They make their own pastrami, corned beef, and lox! Nova lox sandwich, excellent. Avocado toast, delicious. Meat omelet, OMG I needed another nap after that.
