Tom's Soda Shop

Tom’s is a must-experience Baldwyn eatery. Old-school, 50’s themed soda shop and diner. Breakfast and lunch is served most days. Made to order eggs, pancakes, crispy bacon, savory sausage patties. Friendly service and bottomless coffee. ☕️ The cinnamon rolls are homemade, yeasty, soft and have that amazing gooey center. The smash burgers are excellent. The sides are what you expect. They have milkshakes and floats. Very clean restaurant, attentive service and a relaxed atmosphere.

What a wonderful piece of history in a cute town! The employees were all very welcoming and honest in their opinions of the menu. I’d highly suggest the double patty smash burger. It’s quite delicious! We also got the classic that had mustard and grilled onions. We also got an order of original fries as well as an order of seasoned fries. Both were great in their own way. Very yummy! We topped off the meal with the best-selling chocolate milkshake.

I’ve been eyeing this place for about 2 years. I made the drive because I realized it was 15 mins from my house. Tom’s is primarily a lunch spot, except for Fridays. I ordered a number 3 Tom’s “smash” burger w/ bacon and an over easy egg. It was nothing short of amazing. The burger patties are cooked well done, but the star of the show was the bacon. Last time I had this good of bacon was in Vegas at Ramsey Burgr. It was crispy, and I’m not talking about there was a little bit of fat still there, I’m talking about fully rendered bacon. So you get the meaty crispy goodness. I also ordered a basket of regular fries and an unsweetened tea. I do plan on returning.

Tom’s Soda Shop is in a super cute historic downtown area of Baldwyn, MS and is a must place to stop if you’re in North MS. I had the #3 Smash Burger with Tom’s homemade smash sauce and seasoned fries with ranch. The server was really friendly and attentive. The atmosphere was so cool and retro with all the old memorabilia on the walls that I checked out while waiting on my food. I highly recommend this place for its awesome food, so stinking cute building, and the wonderful staff! I’ll absolutely be back, hopefully to try out the breakfast!! Thanks so much Tom’s for letting me take refuge for an hour before continuing my work trip! 😊

So clean!! Great atmosphere. So many nice people. We ordered the BLT and the chicken sandwich. Food was great. If you get fries, get the seasoned fries. They are not salty, just flavorful.
