This is such a cute hole in the wall restaurant with freshly made food. Mr. Jimmy is not just the owner but he is the host, waiter and chef. So be prepared to wait a bit for your food. But know it's fresh. Mr. Jimmy will not serve you something that was made earlier in the day or moments ago. When you make your order he goes back to the kitchen and makes it fresh. Mr. Jimmy was such a joy to talk to and my son and I enjoyed listening to his stories and the history of the Japanese culture. This was my son and my first time at this restaurant but we will definitely be going back. Thanks Mr. Jimmy for an amazing experience!

If you’re looking for good Chinese or Japanese food Then you definitely need to come to this place help out a small business. The food is great. Don’t listen to any negative review you see.

I really wanted to enjoy this spot, but the food was very disappointing. I ordered General Tso’s chicken and the sauce tasted off, almost spoiled. The chicken itself seemed like it came from a bag and wasn’t fresh at all maybe Even rotten the rice didn’t look or taste right. On top of that, the dining area had an unpleasant smell like hot pond water ,which made the experience even worse. I do feel for the older gentleman working there since it seemed like he was running everything on his own, but when you’re providing food service, the quality still needs to be there. Unfortunately, this visit just wasn’t good at all.

First impression as I walked in for a lunch meal was how dirty the place felt. Big fish tank as a center piece that has more algae than most ponds. Floor was slick and gross feeling. Once I ordered, it didn't get any better. Steak and shrimp Hibachi was trash. Soup was okay, but the entree was garbage. Couldn't even finish it. Steak was unlike any steak Hibachi I'd ever had. It was mushy like it came from a can. I'll never eat here again.

Hands down the best place to eat in Louisville... and honestly anywhere around! The food is authentic and fresh! My husband & I got the California Roll ... FANTASTIC! He handrolled to order. The rice wad still warm, the vegetables were crisp, the crab had flavor. My daughter, my mom & I got hibachi. Holy wow! Fresh vegetables, no soggy rice and the chicken (and my shrimp) were seasoned to perfection. The handmade yum yum sauce will make you literally say YUM! My son got honey chicken & devoured it! He's 12. He gave us a hug & said when he has kids he's taking them there to eat lol. My husband got THAI - pineapple chicken & he just kept saying it was the best he's ever had! Do yourself a favor & go eat at TOKYO! The owner was so kind & you can tell he puts love into his food! 10 out of 10
