Toa Yuen Restaurant

Fantastic family owned restaurant. We’ve been coming here for over 10 years, tried others but now this is the only place we go. They have the best sizzling rice soup and sesame chicken.

I had lunch at the Toa Yuen restaurant at San Mateo. I ordered the plate with three options. I selected the orange chicken, fried rice and the green vegetables. The restaurant was clean, the staff is polite, and there are plenty of parking available. The food was just so so, the Choctaw’s not bad, but the rice and vegetables were bland. For a fast lunch was not bad, but could be better.

Had the black bean Chow fun off the menu (not the steam table). The flavor was good, the portion of beef generous.

Always good food here, great authentic neighborhood chinese spot. BBQ pork and beef chow fun during lunch is underrated.

Toa Yuen is such a great spot! The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, the service is outstanding, and the food is absolutely delicious. Every visit feels like a treat I’d definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a memorable dining experience.
