Timber House Brewery and Lodge

Looks like an old motel that has been cosmetically renovated. Some good, some bad. Good bed. Best mattress I have slept on for quite a while. The bathroom is a disaster. There is no washbasin in the bathroom, which creates a problem with hygiene. The shower control is under the shower head and behind a glass partition which means a good portion of your body is unavoidably exposed to a blast of icy water when you reach in to turn the shower on. Neither bathroom nor washbasin cubby just outside have nightlights. There are soft-close toilet lids, but not here, so you can get a nice loud bang if you are not careful. Skirting boards in the bathroom have been crudely fitted leaving gaps behind them which can't be cleaned and are perfect for the accumulation of bugs. The air conditioner/heater is

This review is for the lodge. We had a fantastic stay. VERY clean rooms with super comfortable beds, brand new bathrooms/showers, super fast and simple check in, convenient location and good price. We ended up at the Timber House Lodge by chance after a crazy day of travel attempting to get out of the Tahoe basin with pass closures in that area. Then with an unexpected closure of hwy 70 we went up the hill to Chester. With conditions deteriorating in the evening, we couldn't continue any longer and needed a place to hole up for the night. Timber House was a true sanctuary for us and we couldn't be more grateful for the hospitality we received. Thank you so much! The restaraunt is the only part we visited but it was amazing. Hannah was our server and she was very kind and attentive. We got the steak tips in garlic butter and the cheese curds appetizers. They were both excellent (especially the steak, the mushroom/garlic/wine sauce is to die for). We got the brisket ta os and linguine *i added caramelized whiskey onions* and they were both amazing as well. Overall one of the tastiest restaraunts ive been to in a while, with everything being consistently good.

We were staying in Mill Creek visiting Lassen Volcanic National Park and ventured out to see surrounding area. We found this restaurant on Google Maps that was rated well. We initially planned to have dinner and we arrived approximately 15 minutes before happy hour ended. We ordered happy hour drinks and foods & the portions were reasonable. We were full. The service was great.

Nice rooms. The bed is comfy and sheets and towels are soft. We messed up on our reservation but they were nice about it. We ate at the restaurant. The food is great. We had grilled chicken herb. The sauce was sooo good. Chicken was perfectly cooked.
