Tighe's Bistro Americain

Chocolate martini! Yummo. Excellent fries, clams, burgers, salmon. Seasonal cocktails are so good. There is also an Open Mic Every Wednesday that we attend every week. An inviting, cozy atmosphere with the nicest patrons.

Its a cozy spot! We were in the area so gave it a try. I wouldn't drive there as a destination. Food was good but on the heavy side. Parking is a little tricky but manageable if you're creative. I wasn't impressed with the steak and frits, the fries were limp and not crisp. My wife decided not to eat her leftovers we took home so I don't think she loved her chicken meal either. I wish them well but maybe a better spot for a drink then dinner too.

Just got back from having an amazing dinner!! Trually a hidden gem in Averill Park. If you are looking for a special evening with exceptional food and drink look no further than Tighe’s Bistro. The staff was top notch and I promise you that you will love everything about this restaurant.

I will DEFINITELY be back! Had the most amazing mussels for an app, delicious cocktails and wine, and our server, Gabby, was exceptional. I first want to say that Gabby knows how to give upscale service. I witnessed her impeccable host and table side manner. I also witnessed her professionally training a back of house staff about when to bring out our entree (after our app was cleared and drinks refilled) and training another server about not clearing/re-setting tables next to us while we were dining. She really has a superior understanding of the type of service this restaurant deserves. The food was very good, perfect (literally perfect) mussels. For our entree I got the salmon and my husband got the steak - both cooked perfectly and exactly to our preference. HOWEVER, the sides with our

Seriously the worst food I've ever had in a restaurant. Ordered a NY strip steak and got some weird piece of prime rib - damp and gray, not seared at all. Asked for medium rare - got medium well. They were out of several menu items and the side dishes were corn and potatoes- no other options. It seems unlikely they will be in business much longer.
