Customer Reviews
I have been coming to this location give or take for 50 years. It’s as good or better than ever. Great specials, great prices and a staff that over time feels a little like family. Jessica runs a first class operation and clearly cares for her guests and her staff in a genuine way you just don’t see every day. Gordon, Victoria & Meg are all team members that make me feel welcome every time I walk in the door. Oh, and if I haven’t said this yet, the food is delicious and the portions are beyond generous. If I could give them more stars I would.
This is our favorite breakfast place with the very best home fries! My husband and I have been coming consistently since we moved here over a year ago. The food is always hot, the coffee keeps coming and the staff are so kind. There can be a line out the door depending on the time but that is because it is a place that is cherished by locals. The food is delicious, affordable and it’s super cozy inside.
Every part of our meal was cooked to perfection. The restaurant has an older feel to it. Despite that, the line was out the door. Prices are very good. Coffee is great. The true sign of a great restaurant that wins because of its food and word of mouth repeat business is when the place is a little dated looking (though clean, which this is), but still had a packed house. The good is what keeps people coming back, not a superficial trendy atmosphere. This place is everything I love about breakfast. We WILL be back!
This is a great place for an early morning breakfast! Everything is delicious and the atmosphere is warm and welcoming. I was pleasantly surprised to find biscuits and gravy on the menu. Dining alone is no problem here. There are stools at the bar and smaller tables that are very comfortable. Highly recommend!
Great hole in the wall, local favorite feel place. Quick service, all of the food (ALL) comes out HOT hot - never seen a plate sit to be, uh, distributed (?) more than 5 secs. Even the toast was piping hot, so much I had to give it a sec! I love that especially! Service was perfect - fast and attentive. Gives you space if you want, engages if thats yo thang. Kind and patient with all my questions. Counter sitting at first come first serve (about 5 seats), bunch of tables and booths for bigger parties, single occupant restroom (the best amirite?), ample parking across the street. I recommend the omelets and the Alex Daily if they ever bring it back (rotating specials!). Media uploaded include an omlete and the pork chop special. And dont forget to grab a mug! All they ask for is a donation
