Customer Reviews
Best chicken fried steak with biscuits and gravy. So yum. Couldn't eat here at night as hour long wait. Also the Google timings are wrong. Breakfast is served until 11. Google says the restaurant opens at 11. The lunch menu is meh. Teriyaki burger was ok. Onion rings were crisp. They also have hot chocolate.
This place has a great atmosphere. Reservations are recommended. We ended up having to wait about 45 minutes for a table. There was live music, which was interesting, a guy singing opera. I tried the clam chowder for an appetizer and the prime rib special.Next time I would not get the prime rib. It was not cooked well. Beer selection was excellent. The service was fine, I would not consider this a fine dining establishment by any means. As long as you know what you’re getting into I think you will be OK.
A decent place for food while passing through Winthrop. For starters we had the tater tots which we really enjoyed. It tasted like a spin on a classic bacon potato which was great. Husband had the classic burger with blue cheese and I had the whiskey chicken burger. I felt my the whiskey chicken burger was slightly in the dry side I needs a sauce of some sort to give it that extra something. The pretzel bun is great with it but the lack of sauce makes for a dry bite. The veggie and beef stew was really good. Finished off with carrot cake which husband really enjoyed.
This place was highly rated so we had correspondingly high hopes. It didn't live up to the hype for us. It is hunting season and both the restaurant and the bar were full which I think overtaxed the kitchen. We waited too long for our food. Ultimately he food was decent but not worth the wait. If someone in my group wanted to eat here in the future, I wouldn't deter them but if I'm not itching to go back.
We read good reviews and decided to have lunch here, excited to try a steak. Unfortunately, we learned upon arrival that steaks are only served after 5 PM for dinner. We then opted for hamburgers, hoping for the handmade ones. It took a while for our food to arrive, and it was disappointing—my burger wasn’t warm, and my husband’s chicken was burnt. The staff were friendly, although one wore a very strong perfume, which isn’t ideal in a restaurant. The place had a great vibe and lovely decor.
