Thompson's Cove Restaurant

Thompson's Cove was established in 1986. It has been a long time since we last visited this restaurant, and after coming back I'm wondering why it took us so long. Everything was excellent. I ordered the seafood platter which consisted of fish, oysters, shrimp, scallops, devil crab with hushpuppies and two sides. My wife ordered catfish fillet. It was all so good. The service! Let me tell you about the staff. They make darn sure that you are being taken care of. We were frequently asked by numerous staff members if we had everything we needed. Service couldn't have been better. A large pitcher of water or tea was placed on the table along with a bucket of ice. For someone like me that frequently empties my glass this was heavenly. Amazing food. Great view. My kids even eat the food here and and clean their plate, that says alot! (They are picky) th seafood platter has enough food on it a grizzly bear could fill up on it. The sweet tea is truly southern sweet tea and the service is great. My only gripe os that the filet of catfish i had was mainly batter with a little bit of fish, it may ha e been a one off but was still delicious.

Thursday night was 1st time we have visited this Hidden Secret. Catfish was hot crispy and not greasy. A lot of catfish houses pre cook their fish and refry them when order is place. This makes them creasy and the crust comes off. These were perfect. The crust on the fried shrimp was great. We will make the trip from Macon Again. Reminds me of quality of food served years ago at Yatesville & Barnesville Catfish Houses. GREAT JOB!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It was well worth our ride we drove from Warner robins over to eat the food was excellent the service was excellent go ahead and order the second order of hush puppies they are the best light and fluffy shrimp and catfish was awesome great hospitality. You don't have to ask for refills for tea they bring you the picture great place thanks

Best meal I’ve had in a long time! Each item was as good as the next! The hush puppies come straight from Above and the catfish was perfect! Excellent coleslaw, shrimp fried to perfection, scrumptious deviled crab; you gotta go to Thompson’s Cove!
