The Witch’s Cottage

This is my new favorite, go-to spot! Want a relaxed cafe atmosphere? Their bakery/cafe in the front has you covered. Want a classy and eccentric restaurant/bar? They've got that right behind the cafe. I was lucky enough to get a chance to tour the upstairs performance space and the tavern gaming room. This adds two more bars to the venue! The atmosphere is similarly cozy and lovely (including blankets on the couches!) and absolutely whimsical! I can't wait until they start hosting events here. The atmosphere is understandably generating some buzz, but the true gem about this place is the staff. Everyone I've met there has been extremely warm and friendly in a genuine way. I was so excited for the Witch’s Cottage to open, and I, of course, had to go on opening day. The space is beautiful and the staff is sweet. We tried the dill sun-dried tomato scone, the regular latte (“Witch’s Familiar”), cardamom latte (“Strange and Unusual”), and the pistachio cake. Everything had a lovely flavor, and we can’t wait to come back to try more!

Wow, a seriously cool place! The theming is so fun, you could look around and find so many fun details and things to talk about with your party. Lots of unique decorations, the hanging lights were witch hats, the bathrooms were butterfly and mushroom themed, I could go on! We made a reservation for dinner. Everything is "homemade" in the kitchen, no pre-made stuff! The grilled cheese flight is such a fun idea, we loved sharing the 3 different fillings and comparing notes. That etoufee was the best, very rich! Give that a go if you can't decide. The staff is so energetic and fun, we loved all the folks we met! I recently visited The Witch’s Cottage and it’s easily one of the most unique new spots in North Hollywood. The space feels warm, whimsical, and slightly enchanted without trying too hard — cozy lighting, thoughtful details, and an atmosphere that makes you want to linger. The menu is creative and comforting, with beautifully crafted drinks and dishes that feel intentional and a little magical, whether you’re stopping in for tea and pastries or staying for dinner and cocktails. If you’re looking for something different from the typical LA dining scene, this place delivers charm, character, and a vibe you won’t find anywhere else.

I want to be really honest because I genuinely hope this place succeeds. I’ve seen so many restaurants/cafes come and go in this area, and I truly want a space like this to stick around. We came on opening night with high hopes but unfortunately left feeling pretty disappointed. We had reservations for 7:15, arrived early at 7:05, checked in, and still weren’t seated until about 8:00, nearly an hour wait despite having a reservation. We completely understand that opening nights can be hectic, but clearer communication would have made a big difference. We ordered the Caesar salad, 10oz steak, and the fondue patty melt.
