This place is under new management. I used to love going, but I moved out of town. I came to visit my parents, heard this place was open again, and thought we should give it a try. First off, the food was actually better than before, but the bartender/server downstairs was driving my mother and I crazy. My mom has always hated when somebody calls her honey or sweetie etc, but I normally think she’s being dramatic. However, the bartender just came across as really condescending, even to my father and I, and it made the vibe of the outing off. We met the owner too…she was better, but honestly came across as disingenuous and a fan of humble-bragging…like we were somehow lucky to be in her presence. I wouldn’t go back. The food WAS good though, so I’m giving it 2 stars. It just wasn’t good e

We went to Wild Duck yesterday with two kids, 8 and 5. We all had a burger and I thought they were very good. Two easily fixable issues: 1) They don’t have a kids menu, despite having menu items (burger, chicken tenders) that could easily be scaled down to be on one. Maybe they don’t want to serve families with young kids. If so, noted. 2) The burger menu pricing and description don’t make sense. Under burger it describes the three kinds of cheese you can get with it as part of the description but then at the bottom says cheese is an additional $2. First, $2 for a slice of cheese is insane (even if it’s not unusual to see on a menu) and second, don’t put cheese in the description of the item, among the things it comes with, if you’re going to charge extra for it.

We have been to the pub twice and each item of the menu we have tried becomes our new favorite. Clean, bright space with amazing atmosphere and delicious food.
