The Wickie Room

Went to the Wicke room on Saturday at around 3:30ish. Only two tables occupied and a few golfers finishing their beers at the bar. Was greeted by Adrianna. Very pleasant and welcoming. Ordered. Food was great! Only reason not for five stars was it took forever for our food to be delivered, 45 minutes. I would understand if the place was packed, but the other tables were finished. Food was delivered hot, so I know it didn’t sit under a heat lamp. Just don’t understand why two dinners would take so long . Should you go ask for Adrianna.

We went for the 1st time on Friday night. Great live entertainment going on. Wickie wedge salad was good, could have been colder. Good selection of wine and beer. Main courses were ok. The ribeye was fatty (even for a ribeye) covered in a brown sauce. Served with a cauliflower gratin that was good but under seasoned. Service was slow but the server was very pleasant.

Let me start by saying I've never left a bad review at a restaurant. This is necessary. I left feeling like by blood pressure was 400/300 because all i ingested was pure salt. I still can't get the taste out of my mouth. The waitress, as nice as everyone there was, never checked on us or asked if we needed more water or anything. And I definitely needed water. We actually got up and checked ourselves out. Everything I got tasted of nothing but salt. My husband really liked the onion soup. I tasted it, it was actually really good. I got a margarita and the short rib flat bread. I swear someone forgot to stop cracking the salt on both items, as thats literally all i tasted. The ambiance was very pretty outside. We had a great dinner and martini for Martini Monday. We sat out back and enjoyed the view. The steak salad was great it could have used a bit more salad in my opinion but overall a good dish. The burger and fries were excellent. We will be back again.

My wife and I went to dinner last night. The food was great as was our server Craig. It’s off the beaten trail at LBI National which is nice. We will be back!
