Yeah, this is the spot. I cannot express how good the sandwiches are here. Aris is an artist with the sandwiches and focaccia he makes. I've taken many friends and family here. We ordered one of each of the sandwiches the Friday after Thanksgiving and did a tasting flight at home. The moaning, exclamations, and declarations of love for these sandwiches was off the charts. I'm always pleased with the consistency of the sandwiches as well, each time I come is just as good as the last. I've had the whole menu, here are some thoughts on my favorites: - Fish: Wowowow so salty and delicious. I love the chips to add contrast to the salmon's creaminess. - Turkey no wolf: My favorite sandwich. The sprouts on top add a nice touch and the pimento cheese is delicous. Even people who don't like pime
Our sandwiches were amazing! (Brassica and No Wolf) This is not a sit down place but it's easy to order and there is shared outdoor seating. The flavors were incredible, everything was fresh, the bread delicious. Definitely worth checking out.
I am definitely not a sandwich person, but while visiting Charlottesville with my daughter, she found The Wich Lab. We ordered the London Bridge and turkey/pimento cheese sandwiches. Not only the best sandwiches we have ever eaten, but some of the BEST food we have ever eaten!! We even went back inside to tell the owner how much we enjoyed our lunch. Insanely delicious and a must go-to!!
As someone who is a huge foodie and travels a lot, this was the BEST sandwich I have ever had. It was the perfect balance of savory with a hint of sweetest, the bread crispy but soft at the same time and the flakey salt on top, just WOW. 1000/10. Not to mention, the owner was very friendly and appreciative of us. Will definitely be back and highly recommend.
We arrived around noon on a Monday in early August. The counter-service restaurant is located in the Downtown Mall across from the (back end) of the CODE building. Parking can be tricky. We were not able to find any available street parking. We ended up parking in the Staples lot off Ridge McIntire Road and walking the short distance. The name of the restaurant is in small writing on the door so keep your eyes peeled. The inside is basically a counter with a small kiosk where you place your order. Behind the counter is the kitchen. There is no interaction with the staff which is a bit impersonal. We were in and out of there in no more than 5 minutes. There is no seating inside but there is a common courtyard outside with some tables. We took our order to a nearby winery that allows outside
