The White House of Eldora B&B

The White House is amazing! My husband and I stayed here while running the Eldora River’s Edge Trail Half Marathon. The historic house was built in the early 1900s and each room has been designed with a different European theme. We stayed in the Madrid room with its own private entrance. The Vienna room has its own private entrance and bathroom. Barbara is the best host and will make you an amazing breakfast with the best German coffee I’ve ever had. It’s very quiet at night and the beds are comfortable, perfect for the race. I highly recommend staying here!

This was my first time ever staying in a bed and breakfast. Firstly, though there are various options of motels in the area, The White House of Eldora B&B was the absolute best choice I could have chosen. Not only is Barbara, the owner of this B&B, an amazing and attentive host, but the location is quiet, and relaxing. The rooms are beautiful, very creatively designed, and clean. The bed was very comfortable, the shower had good pressure and nice hot water. There is free Wi-Fi as well. The room I stayed in (during a winter work trip) was well heated. The Vienna was the room I chose, and even has an external entrance and a deck, which has a canopy during the warmer seasons. She does offer a small breakfast in the morning, fruit, biscuits, Etc, and there is a common area outside the rooms, w

We have stayed both in the themed main house rooms and in the spacious and charming historic "cabin." All of Barbara's properties are beautifully appointed and immaculate. Perhaps you will be sharing fruit and coffee in European elegance on the deck of the Whitehouse in the summer, or maybe you will be cooking your own in the very adequate kitchen in the cabin and eating in front of the amazing ancient fireplace recently discovered in the hidden interior log walls of this place. Wherever you stay, you will find great value and a new friend in your host. Eldora is also home to lovely countryside and beautiful civic buildings and near interesting park land.

I was in Eldora for the "Iowa cornbelt Oliver collectors association" state show. I stayed at the White House of Eldora. It was a fantastic place to stay, the place was quiet, relaxing, and very clean and well kept in European style theme! The hostess Barbara, was fantastic, and very interesting to visit with !! Loved her stories of life in Germany. Definitely will be back !! - Tim D.

My wife and I love the White House. Barbara is the best hostess anyone could ask for. The rooms are neat as a pin and there is a great atmosphere of being welcomed with a European flair that is unexpected in little Eldora, Iowa. You will enjoy a stay here that is reasonably priced and the kind of experience that will have you wanting to return. 5 stars across the board.
