THE VILLAGE BAKERY

We came into town to do our bulky laundry at the laundry mat and was googling a place to eat lunch. This place is in the same parking lot within walking distance so we decided to try it. I am so glad we did. The staff (some of which are special needs) were welcoming and attentive to our orders. We ordered sandwiches and the roasted vegetable soup. I was surprised that the soup was a thick blend porridge texture and not more broth consistency, but it was super yummy. We also ordered a 24 oz Mocha and a 24 oz Peach smoothie to go with our meal, which were delicious. We will be coming back to try the pastries and goodies soon.

It is so hard to find good gluten free bakery items that are not the typical gluten free taste. This bakery does a PHENOMENAL job. I already loved their gf cupcakes so I ordered my birthday cake from them. My non-gf friends and family said you couldn’t even tell it was gf which is hard to do. This only confirmed my fiancé and I’s choice to use them for our wedding cakes! Huge thank you to the entire staff and Abbey who handles the gluten free items!

We went for a school field trip. Everyone had a wonderful time and learned a lot about what it is to be a bakery. There's a huge variety to chose from and it all looks wonderful. The kids all chose a dessert to eat at the bakery and some of the adults got sandwiches and treats to take home for dinner. Bonus, Santa was visiting and the kids were able to get pictures with him and do some visiting before he had to get back to the North Pole.

Not sure where I learned about this bakery, but it’s been on my travel map for a while. While visiting the area made it a priory to stop here and so glad I did. The service was great and the food was delicious. Tried the breakfast burrito and brisket croissant and recommend both. Got some desserts to go and they did not disappoint. Will definitely be coming back to the bakery when I’m in the area again next year. Thought the prices were in line with similar restaurants and bakeries.

I’m disappointed to write this, especially as someone who has spent hundreds of dollars here and has recommended this business to clients, friends, and family. We’ve always tried to support them, but this recent experience was genuinely surprising. We ordered a dozen cinnamon rolls (nearly $100) for Christmas morning and were given a specific pickup time. We arrived exactly when we were told they’d be ready, only to be told they actually weren’t and to come back a couple hours later - which was right before closing. We understood and had no issue accommodating that, so we left and came back again as requested. Unfortunately, when we opened them on Christmas morning, half had no icing.
