The Venue

This was our first time at The Venue in Greensburg - it was excellent! We had an outstanding server - JR; the atmosphere was enjoyable; we never felt rushed through dinner; and the food was amazingly good. We highly recommend the Apple Harvest Salad, the 10 oz Filet and the Chocolate Mouse Cake - you will not be disappointed.

Every year at this time my wife and I celebrate our anniversary. Our first date was here when it was One Eleven. Our Waitress Aimee is/was the best tonight. Aimee has served us a few times over the years and she is outstanding. My wife went the normal route with Surf and Turf and her meal did not disappoint. I had the daily special of Seafood Newburg. Best Scallops I have ever had and I have eaten at a-lot of great Seafood restaurants over my years and career. Amy and I both said we need to come to the Venue more than just our Anniversary. This was the reservation that turned The Venue from one of our favorite restaurants in the local area to "we will never dine here again". We went on Valentine's Day, and the evening started our wonderful, with cocktails at the bar and the lovely touch of the owner's grandson gifting a red rose to the ladies. But then the food came. It was a set menu priced $99 per person. All was going well, until one of our entrees arrived, and they sent out raw chicken. Not slightly questionable - clearly still raw. I wouldn't expect that at Denny's never mind a fine dining establishment. The server was apologetic and took the other plate back into the kitchen to keep it warm so that we could eat together. we went there for the first time and we were amazed because everything was so darn good! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted very warmly, and had some great drinks at the bar! then we moved over to the dining room and had a really good dinner that everybody at our table loved! I had the Alaskan king crab and it was something really special! we really loved the truffle french fries! it was a great dinner and we will be back again very soon!
