The University of Texas Permian Basin

I’m an online student going on my 4th semester so far my experience has been pleasant, be mindful on what to expect as an online student. One thing I recommend avoid professor Jeremy Cox, he’s to emotional and self centered. Other than that good luck.

I didn’t came to this school across Texas just to get assaulted with a laser pointer by a professor that can’t even ask a proper question to a CEO. Dr. Harouka. I HOPE THE UNIVERSITY DOES SOMETHING ABOUT THIS

I like this institute. They do offer instate tuition even for international students by awarding them $1000 scholarship per school year and if you maintain your CGPA above 3, you can keep getting scholarship and out of state waiver for your whole degree.

I realized there is a cap for how much a loan company can cover costs, at least for the summer semesters. I had an initial balance around 7k that later ramped to about 10k. My loan company wanted to pay the entirety but only ended up disbursing the 7k. It took forever to speak with the right person in Financial Aid to explain to me the situation. It gets. sketchy when you personally have to pay off your remaining student balance but can’t. Besides this information, the school is fine.

I am a student pursuing BBA Finance, and a very fair reasonable person. My opinion of this school is that the campus are very clean and well maintained, the professors are great and knowledgeable. However, the advising and the admins system is a bit sluggish and slow. As a full time employee and a full time student, my schedules can get very hectic and I wished that their library hours were a little bit more flexible so I don't have to drive to Midland to find an empty Starbuck for a study session.
