Customer Reviews
We recently spent an evening at the Twin Lakes Inn. The inside looked nice in the pictures but was way cuter in person! The rooms are darling and it is kept very clean. The dining room is very rustic and inviting, the bar area very cool, very nice fireplace and the sitting area looking outside was the best. It is decorated perfectly and the food was excellent. Since the weather came in on the day of our arrival it gave us the opportunity to sit, relax and take in the views . I must say, we did not have the best customer service in other towns. While I relaxed at the inn, I I was able to observe the staff. They were so happy, friendly and got along great with each other. they truly make a great team. You can tell when it’s sincere. These are good people! We ended our visit waking up to 2 t
Attempted to dine here, arrived at 7:25pm on a Saturday night with a party of four. Walked up to the door only to have the hostess scamper to the door and lock it, then return to the hostess area and pretend she could not see us at the door. The experience was weird, awkward and bizarre. After standing outside for a few minutes wondering how to proceed, the hostess cracked the door open and mumbled they had other people seated and that the kitchen was backed up and they had to prep for Sunday brunch. So we left Twin Lakes Saloon and went to Treeline in Leadville and had outstanding food and service. Considering Twin Lakes Saloon is a bit of a drive, we are in no hurry to return, as the hospitality is clearly lacking and it would seem the kitchen is understaffed and unprepared for normal we
Important: VERIFY RESTAURANT HOURS BEFORE BOOKING. While I wanted to rate this inn lower due to dining limitations, the exceptionally friendly staff earned it higher marks. Dining Situation: The on-site restaurant is currently closed except for breakfast service. The nearest alternative dining is 25 miles away (30-minute drive). A local food truck (Punky's) operates until 6pm but offers average (at best) food quality. Booking Confusion: Neither the inn's website nor Expedia clearly indicates the restaurant closure, which influenced our decision to stay given the remote location and positive reviews of the dining options. Overall Assessment: Despite the dining challenges, we enjoyed the inn's character—a quirky 150-year-old building in a beautifully remote setting. Just be prepared: we a
This was the most charming place - exactly what you'd think staying in Colorado should be. The room was comfortable, everything so very clean, huge private bathroom and shower down the hall, great breakfast and sitting area downstairs. So many little extras - they thought of everything! Andy was so kind and made checkin easy even though we got lost and were late. Will definitely recommend and hopefully return one day. Also, take their recommendation to try the water - it's so worth it!
The Twin Lakes Inn & Saloon is a classic spot with loads of charm. The cozy, rustic vibe makes it perfect for relaxing after a day outdoors. The food was hearty and tasty — I really enjoyed their comfort-style dishes and the local brews they offer. The staff were friendly and welcoming, adding to the overall warm atmosphere. Definitely a great place to unwind and soak in some local flavor.
