The Strand Bistro & Chophouse

First time visiting the area and we chose this place, custome service is top teir , when you first come your greeted and told sit anywhere . Our waiter was so sweet and patient with us . Food was fresh and hot , a little salty but its nothing the cook cant fix. We had the fried pickles , cheese sticks. Bourbon grilled chicken, steak, salmon and the chicken bacon ranch flat bread.. eveything was great. They also have happy hour , live music and karaoke . Definitely will be coming back

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I absolutely love The Strand Bistro and Chophouse! The food is always incredible—I’m hooked on their burgers, and the bacon-wrapped shrimp is out of this world. If I’m ever going to splurge on pizza, this is definitely where I go. The staff is so friendly and welcoming—some even remember me by name, which always makes my day. They also bring in great live bands! I’m not usually big on dancing, but the atmosphere here is so inviting that I always feel comfortable joining in. And don’t miss the outdoor area—it’s perfect on cooler nights. Great food, great people, and a great time every time I come!

I felt the need to post this. I travel pretty much the entire Eastern United States. I spend about 150 days a year on the road. Usually I'm in the same places. Rarely do I end up in a place that I've never been or heard of. Tonight I did. And I'm so glad I did. According to my Google timeline I have been to over 3, 052 different cities across the United States. This is definitely at the top of my list of a small town that made you feel welcome that was just absolutely cool and everybody seems so nice and polite. And this little spot is by far one of the coolest places and nicest spots I've ever been. The small town vibe in the entire place is great. But this spot was literally just awesome. This is a great place to grab lunch or dinner. We came in between; late lunch or early dinner. We ordered the burger with sweet potato fries, and the chopped steak over mashed with gravy, with fried green beans! Wow! What a delicious home cooked southern meal! It was served hot, cooked just right, and we did not wait very long. Melva, their Senior Server, was top notch! She was on top of things; super attentive -- greeted us, very friendly, always checking in with us to make sure we had what we needed, and so down-to-earth. She made us feel comfortable from the moment we walked through the door. We will visit again when we come back to the area, and ask for Melva specifically. I recommend you try this restaurant! 1/14/26. Dinner was excellent. Salmon was cooked to perfection. The Mac n cheese was very good. Broccoli was steamed perfectly. My husband had the chopped steak. It was cooked just as ordered. We never tried the fried green string beans before, we enjoyed them. Callie our server was attentive, informative and served us with a smile. We will be back and will request Callie as our server.
