Why do we go out to a restaurant & drop some coin? OK, sometimes it's because we just didn't think about cooking and it was an easier alternative. Otherwise, you go out for the full experience of enjoying a multi-course evening: appetizers, drinks, mains, desserts, and maybe a final digestive. Take your time and enjoy. On this particular Saturday evening, we arrived at maybe 8 PM. The place was packed. Good vibe. We were served well within a reasonable amount of time and our server was very attentive - our glasses were never wanting. The food was adequate , " Not thrilling, but nice". I ordered the Mezzo Mare special. The dish was huge but I would not call the flavor amazing. So why my 3 rating? A wide selection of different dishes. This can be detrimental to the quality a restaurants food, but no issue here. Friendly staff, and a very cool vibe in the train station. Easily the best eatery in Naugatuck if youre looking for high quality food at a sit-down place.

We had to relocate my father in law's funeral repast at the last minute because of the water outage in Waterbury. It was stressful, to say the least. We contacted The Station during the middle of their Saturday dinner service and they were beyond professional and accommodating from the jump. They took excellent care of us and our party of 50 at every turn. The food was excellent. The wait staff was invisible -- and I mean that as a compliment. We were neve aware of them, but they were right there when someone needed something. This has been a restaurant we visit occasionally, but this experience really elevated them in our book. I love this place. I've been going here for years with my family and family friends. The old train station vibe really sets the place apart. Then the fact that when the train comes by I'm like a little kid gives the place that's on style. The food's always great. The drinks are mixed right and the servers are always friendly. You can even go out back and smoke a stogie if you like.
