The Square Pub

Just a great vibe! We were traveling through and saw this. Great renovations in an older downtown building in a small midwestern town. Moved away from Indiana and needed a tenderloin. Well done tasty with good fries! My wife had the catfish nuggets - good flavor! All for a really solid price even with a beer. It was midafternoon and the waitstaff got hit with an unexpected rush. They hustled and did the best they could. Very kind and friendly. If I lived in the area it would be on my list of repeat visits.

Staff were amazing, very patient & often checked on our table. Atmosphere was calm and I loved that we had a remote at our table so we could change the channels to our likings. Bathrooms were also very clean! My family and I all loved the food and it came out fresh. The Square pub has so much to offer and i’m so glad i had the opportunity to come and eat the food here!

Love the warm atmosphere. The food is delicious. Their sirloin steak is the best steak I’ve ever had. The sides were fresh and hot. Everything I’ve eaten there has been good. The service is friendly and timely. I eat here at least once when I visit Sullivan.

The food was better than expected and reasonably priced. But I got the worst impression when I first walked in. Back in front of the bathrooms, not even in the bathrooms, but in front it smelled like poop. Straight up poop. It was such a strong scent it made me feel sick. I did not want to order from there due to there concerns on cleanliness but ended up staying. Just not a great impression and I still wonder about it. The silverware and the drink cups did not look properly washed either. Very gunky and stained.

Went tonight after trick or treating with the kids and we were shocked with how good the food was. Steak, catfish nuggets, and chicken tenders were amazing!! Flavor was phenomenal, hats off to the cooks, we will definitely be back, we may have found a new favorite spot. Even though it was busy, service was great too.
