The Spot Coffee and Finery

This is such a quaint little shop Owensboro desperately needed. They offer a unique selection of café, smoothies, and tea. The barista was super chill and kind enough to help me through the menu. The boutique offers an interesting collection of jewelry, minerals, handcrafted figures and pottery, vintage shirts, and local art. The lounge has several sofas, tables and chairs great for interesting conversations, studying, meetings, or a date. The music is also fitting for this setting. In just the little time I sat and enjoyed my latte, I heard The Cure, Depeche Mode, Tears for Fears, and The Smashing Pumpkins. If I had any criticism of the place I'd put a bit of emphasis on ambient scent in the various sections of the lounge. The place doesn't smell bad, to the contrary, it obviously smells

My favorite coffee shop of all time. Been going since the opening and the staff has always been so nice and welcoming. I love the shopping aspects of the inside. My favorite thing is the Brass Monkey with whip, I would recommend it to ANYONE. I would go everyday if only it was closer to my house. 🖤

My first time at The Spot is September 20, 2025. This place is a great hang out space with friends or simply hanging out. I got myself a smoothie. I don't really drink coffee, so I am glad there are other options. When I ordered my smoothie, I asked for Strawberry and Banana, but they were out of Banana so I substituted Banana for Pineapple. Something new to try, but now I know that Pineapple and Strawberry do not mix together well, lol. I still tried it out to see what it tasted like. I might stick with plain Strawberry next time when I order a smoothie when they are out of Bananas, lol.

I love their coffee, but the best thing is the perfect Coffee Shop atmosphere. Laid back. Good smells. Nice people.

Seriously the best place to get coffee. It’s local >>>>> all the workers are the best. They know your order as soon as you walk through the door! (Or mine anyways bc I go in there wayyyyy too often) but I’ve also noticed how they know other customers orders off top. I haven’t had one bad experience there. Also the punch cards and double punch Sundays are the best. It’s a great atmosphere for any age! Cocoa in a nutshell with 3 shots is my go to! I also get my kids a chocolate milk with ice so they think they’re also getting a coffee*** we love love love!
