The Smoke Pit

I live in Lexington and with that being said I do not find the bbq as good as they claim it to be. However, I have been hearing whispers in town about this place and decided to give it a try. Boy!! I've lived in NC since 2021 and this is by far hands down the BEST bbq we've had since! The flavor of the meat is smokey yet flavorful, don't get me started on the portions. The starter nachos.. large enough to feed 2 adults and 1 child and still have leftovers. Their Texas Twinkies spicy as all get out but huge! Their spuds overflowing with goodness. Hannah B our waitress was an absolute gem! Kind, funny, responsive, and an overall delight to have serve us. The wait time was long, but well worth it and with the popularity of the food, I now understand why the lines were so long.Overall I give

Went here for the first time with my boyfriend and it quickly became our favorite barbecue place! Our server Jasmine was great, she was really helpful and really nice to interact with during our visit. We had the brisket super spud, I got mine with burnt ends and it was amazing! I also got the brisket Mac and cheese and the barbecue pit beans which were also really good. The food and service was incredible it was slammed and we still had quick service and great food!

It's good barbecue. The kids menu has good variety for a kids menu. My daughter was happy about that. The Portions are very robust. I can't remember the last time I've taken food home from a restaurant, but I had to this time. My sandwich was the size of a toddler.

Ohhhh my goodness!!! This was the best bbq I've ever had. Burnt ends, Alabama chicken, fried okra, DELICIOUS creamed corn, collards, and the BEST corn bread ever! Really good pickle chips for an appetizer. Our server was great. I THINK his name was Cody but I really can't remember. The place was popping so I don't think they need any help with patrons but if you're in the area and love bbq (or don't, they have plenty of other optins), you won't be disappointed in The Smoke Pit. My photo is my leftovers since I didn't get one of the original meal. The portions are huge.

Wow if you haven’t been here you need to!!! Amazing barbecue, awesome service !!! You might have a small wait for a table but it’s worth it !! We had the chopped brisket sandwich, white slaw, pork sliders and Mac and cheese! Also tried the jalapeño cheddar sausage link. All were amazing !!
