The Sherburne Inn

We stopped by the newly renovated Sherburne Inn for breakfast and we're pleasantly surprised. The veggie egg biscuit sandwich, the sausage bacon egg biscuit sandwich and both the veggie and sausage quishes were absolutely delicious. After the meal we were invited to walk through the first level of the inn to see the renovations firsthand. The updates are impressive and it's clear that this place has a great potential. We will definitely return to support this local business.

The Sherburne Inn is a stellar experience in every conceivable way. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, often with a real fire going in the fireplace. The staff are friendly, engaging, and knowledgeable and easily accommodate special requests. The coffee bar offers an incredible array of specialty drinks, the pastries are varied and delicious. And the food - I don't have enough adjectives - creative, interesting, executed perfectly, and just plain delicious. Kudos to Gina and her staff!

So much thought and intention goes into every aspect of The Sherburne Inn. From the delectable drinks and pastries in the café, to the classic decor that celebrates the building’s historic features, and the special brunch and dinner events they do. It is a cozy space to visit with friends, do some work, have lunch, or grab a delicious drink on your way through town. I can’t say enough good things about this place! I stopped and got a veggie quiche today and it was the best I’ve ever had. Hearty with vegetables and egg and cheese, with the perfect flakey outer pastry.

I have had dinner and brunch here and every time it has been outstanding. The staff is not only friendly but incredibly efficient during busy hours. And the food! Can't believe something this good is available without driving to Syracuse or Utica. Oh, and, of course, I've bought the baked goods every time I'm there. And savored every bite! Gina, Shane, everyone else go out of their way to make everything perfect. They succeed!

The food was more than great. It is genuine food. For example: the sausage patties are not perfect circles of thin, pressed meat. It is obvious that a person’s hands made these, at this restaurant. For three of us, with entrees, coffee, and extra sides it was $46, and we were stuffed. For that much food, of that quality, $70-$80 is easily justified. I can’t wait to come back.
