The Shack

I have only been here for a small amount of time. Finding some places to eat that don’t really hurt the wallet but also fill you up is very hard to find. I like my stomach like my cars. Full of gas on a full tank. Well The Shack did not disappoint. I called ahead for my order. They had it ready super fast. Ready for pickup in under 5 minutes I was blown away and it all was amazing! I will be adding more to this review when I wake up more.

Wish I could give 6 stars! My gf and I swung in from out of town, and what I can presume were the owners treated us like family! The older gentleman in the kitches said there is hardly a thing on the menu that isn't made from scratch by him, and it shows in the food. Got fish amd chips and some wings. Honey Garlic sauce made in house, very sweet and savory sauce unlike anything I've had on a wing. Great cook on the wings too. The fish and chips were very flavorful, structure holds incredibly well, and the fish was fresh and flavorful. Skin sticks to the fish perfectly. Chips were well seasoned. Just really good food made by some great people!

Ordered the fish and chips, they were amazing! The fish was so fresh, batter was nice and crispy, and the fries are fresh cut in house, perfection. So unfortunate I'm only passing through on vacation because this would definitely be a new favourite for me.

Amazing food, chill staff, decent service! Their T-Rex poutine is the best poutine that I have ever had in my entire life. Even after I became vegan, I cannot help myself but order the biggest size one with extra curds and an extra gravy on the side. I will order from them before I die 100%.

Don’t ever get this Restaurant to deliver your food they’ll show up put the food At the front door and don’t even bother to knock on the door or ring the doorbell. My food must’ve been sitting outside in the freezing cold for 20 to 25 minutes when I decide I better go down and see if it’s here. Horrible customer service
