The Sea Gypsy Bed and Breakfast

Loved the Sea Gypsy! I stayed one night while en route to Virginia for my daughter’s wedding. Beautiful, well appointed Victorian home. I stayed in the Walt Whitman room which had lovely furnishings, a comfortable bed, and an attached sitting porch. This room also came with a private bathroom down the hall. Henry the caretaker is a genuinely nice person who went above and beyond in making everything perfect. Wonderful place to stay!

The Sea Gypsy is a gem on the shore, a beautiful Victorian Bed & Breakfast. I booked the Walt Whitman Room, and it was perfect. It adjoined a sitting porch for use, and also had a little sink in the room. The room was extremely clean and beautifully furnished and the bed was so comfortable, I slept well. It does have a private bathroom down the hall, which I loved. I saved the best for last: Henry! He is the nicest person you’d ever meet and he went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect! Thanks, Henry!

I have been around the world three times, stayed in over a dozen different countries and stayed in hotels, motels, B & B's and recently more Airbnbs because of business and have written over 3000 reviews for TripAdvisor and I can say that my experience at the Sea Gypsy B & B was by far the worst experience I had ever had and I rarely write a negative review.||I was heading down to Cape May for business and the hotel I normally stay at was fully booked for a wedding. Most of the other places in Cape May were either booked for the holidays or closed for the season. Since there are no chain hotels in the area, I looked at Airbnb having traveled in three over the Spring and Summer with very nice stays and came across the Sea Gypsy B & B. LOVED the Sea Gypsy. Stayed in the Shel Silverstein room for 2 nights. 3 adults. The entire house was full of charm and very clean. Water pressure in shower was great. Beds comfortable. Little staircase led to a deck outside our room for morning breakfast or reading. Henry the host was genuinely nice and attentive to anything we needed. Short walk to the beach. They had beach towels, umbrella, boogie boards, and a cart for hauling it to the beach. Bikes for an evening ride. Make sure you get the breakfast each day. Great value and delicious!!! This place is a gem and definitely recommend to anyone.

What a treat it was spending a weekend at the Sea Gypsy Bed and Breakfast! When you first arrive, don't panic and think there isn't parking available. Simply call the number on the sign and a staff member will guide you. We stayed in the Ezra Pound Suite and absolutely loved it! Henry checked us in, provided a history of the suite and was incredibly friendly. We soon met Romeo, the adorable Sea Gypsy mascot cat, who greeted us every time we were outside and he made us miss our cats so much. He is a true shining star. The Ezra Pound suite has two bathrooms eith standing shower, a kitchen with pots/pans/oven/microwave/dishes/utensils and two televisions with a California king and trundle bed.
