The Saints has an amazing atmosphere as well as food. Especially the red snapper and grape salad. The fries were good and my coworkers were enjoying their pineapple wings. The owner and staff were really nice and accommodating. I had a phenomenal time with my crew after our 10 hour work day . We went back the second day, with a whole different group of crew members, but they were closing earlier.
Came across this 5 star restaurant when looking for a resturant/lounge on a Friday night. After calling to confirm they were still byob & would have a dj we dropped in. The lounge vibe and music (no dj) was cool but that's about the end of the pros. There was only one young woman operating as host, waitress, bartender & cashier. She was nice but service was extremely slow. Between that & the dirty glassware we should've dipped but we stayed and ordered the suya beef & chicken, fries and kale. Everything came out lukewarm and the "suya" spiced meat just meant it came w/ a heavy dusting of cayenne powder. The fries were good. The final straw, the $50 per bottle fee that was added to our bill for our two bottles of wine. After explaining this fee was not listed ANYWHERE on their socials they
Googled "African restaurants Philly " & The Saints popped up so I wanted to try it. It's BYOB. Our waitress was attentive, she kept checking on us to make sure we were good and even offered to take pics. I had Suya chicken, jollof rice and plantains. Everything was tasty and it came out in a reasonable time. The decor is nice and the music was good. I can see it being a vibe once more people start patronizing. Can't wait to go back!!
Went here for my birthday and enjoyed the food. Fairly new so it wasn't busy. Currently B.Y.OB. Me and my party tried the snapper, chicken wings, tacos and salad. Everything was delicious 😋
I visited a few days ago. Cute vibes, decent food, but I will not be returning to this establishment for these reasons: 1. We were not greeted by staff upon arrival. The waitresses on duty weren’t as knowledgeable as they should’ve been. They were more occupied with smoking hookah. 2. Their website has several false advertisements: There were only two main entrées that night where their website states four. I also asked for a salad, but they said they were out of the grape salad (not ceaser). That night they had snapper and lamb chops as main dishes. My party and I had to wait about 30 minutes for the food. I got the snapper. It was cooked well, the sauce they used tasted great, my only problem was the fish was not seasoned inside. The inside tasted bland. I also had a side of plantains an
