The Rook Mansion

Rented this for a holiday gathering with family and had the most excellent holiday vacation of my entire adult life! The host was exceptional!!! He went above and beyond to help us with everything, including set up. Friendly and fun, we would 10/10 go back to hangout with them again for game night or another holiday party. The tour was so neat and the home was comfortable even with small children. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed to cook for our large group (even had multiple refrigerators). The mansion is stocked with a great variety of serving/catering dishware. (I was thrilled they even had a gravy boat!) Willis was an amazing host, him and his boys were super helpful and informative about the mansions history. The mansion itself was incredible. Hands down, the best place we have ever stayed. We will be back there next year.

Will’s place is the kind of unique experience that keeps me coming back to Airbnb. He is an incredibly accommodating, generous, friendly host who opens up this unique piece of history in a fun and entertaining way. We took our whole family (aunts, uncles, cousins), hiked at Roman Nose State Park during the day, the murder mystery game and dinner at night, played disc golf, built a fire outside and roasted s’mores and generally had a ton of fun. The house is a true antique, so don’t expect the Ritz, but for those who appreciate such things, it was a super fun treat to stay in a Prohibition-era mansion especially with a host who obviously has a heart for fun and hospitality.

Willis was an excellent host! His hospitality went above & beyond! Our room was big & roomy. My son enjoyed searching for the secret passages in the home & swimming in the pool! We highly recommend staying here if you are in Watonga or going to Roman Nose State Park.

I had soooooo much fun last night! The dinner was delicious and the staff went above and beyond with the game. If you want a fun family night I would definitely suggest this place.
