The Rivers and Rails Tavern

Stopped in for lunch and we were seated promptly and greeted by our waitress. We had iced tea and our waitress suggested several favorites for lunch. I had the burger and fries and my wife had the Korean Steak Bowl. Everything was delicious and we enjoyed the meal.

We came in at 5:55 pm on a Friday night. Party of 5 women. We stood at the hostess station for 5- 10 minutes before making our way to a table before we were told to go back to the hostess station and wait. We explained that we didn't understand we were supposed to continue to wait because no one showed up at the station to seat us and 2 other parties were waiting as well. We were then seated at a four top but managed to switch tables with a party of 3 to a more appropriate sized table. Our wonderful server Erica was quick to the table, great with the service and personality. That's the only good part of the whole experience. Cocktails came moderately quickly and were delicious. We visited for lunch on a Sunday and was very busy and took a while to get a table. Food was very good and served hot. I had the chicken tinga tacos. The truffle fries were awesome.

After carefully reading the reviews, we called about a month ahead of time to make a reservation for our family of 9. Not all places take reservations so we were excited to have this in place. We ordered all kinds of things from the menu. The drinks, tacos and burgers were excellent. We have picky family members and they gave it great reviews too. No problem on the gluten free request either. Paige was our server and she was exceptional. Very attentive, made great suggestions and brought our food out with no issues. At the end if our dinner, we went outside where Paige took this picture for us. Thanks for having us. We really enjoyed the food, the staff and our visit!
