Customer Reviews
I was a little concerned about the quantity of protein after reading some of the reviews, but I am glad to see there was plenty of chicken in my meal from The Rice Spot. It tasted fresh and had good flavor but WOW the spicy fried rice is very good. A little red pepper, a good amount of egg, and I was left impressed with what I got for the money. If you are in the area and have a hankering for Chinese fast food, this place will not disappoint.
The Rice Spot is really good! I had the chow mein, kung pao chicken, an egg roll, and sweet tea. The chicken actually tastes like real chicken, and the dishes overall feel healthier than other spots. Everything was made to order, well-seasoned, and cooked just right. I also really liked the way they cut the carrots lol. Their sweet tea hit the spot too. Definitely a place I’d go back to, great food and flavors!
We tried the fried rice, shrimp fried rice, dumplings, orange chicken, teriyaki chicken, and mushroom chicken — everything was made to order and delicious!! The staff were incredibly welcoming and very attentive. The portions were also very generous; we had plenty of leftovers. Highly recommend!
We drove 40 minutes to get here and it was worth it!! Love it!!! The inside is super clean and fun! My daughter, husband and I all loved it!! I’m not typically the biggest fan of Chinese food but this one changed my mind! We got their shrimp and spicy fried rice with chicken teriyaki, orange chicken and beef broccoli! Loved every single thing! We already planned on coming back to try other things on their menu! The owners are the best, always checking up and making sure everything is okay! As I talked to them they even shared how they limit food waste, which I love to hear!!
Don’t want to knock the employees or the business itself, really nice people and a clean place. The food however fell way short in my eyes, I got two combo plates and the protein portions were way less than you get anywhere else, I got 4 pieces of orange chicken, my beef and broccoli meat was dried out and the broccoli was hard. The rice and noodles were extremely salty and made it hard to eat, I don’t think I’ll ever be back and feel like I wasted 30 dollars.
