The Restaurant at Hard Truth

My wife had been given a $50 gift card for this restaurant so we decided to take the drive to Brown County and try it. While the scenery is beautiful, it is the only highlight of this restaurant. Upon entering, we stated that we had a reservation and were seated. However, we were not given silverware or napkins at that time. Our waitress, Maddie F. Came over to our table about 10 minutes later and asked if we were ready to order. She did bring us two glasses of water, yet still no silverware or napkin. My wife ordered the pretzel and a salad. I ordered a burger with pepper jack cheese, and bacon on it and french fries. I had to ask the waitress before she left if I could have something to drink besides water, and she obliged. she returned 10 minutes later with plates for an appetiz

Went here for dinner before headed back home. Was a little let down in the options on the menu. There were a few good salmon dishes if you don't eat or enjoy meat. I also saw meatloaf and pull pork nachos. I saw sandwiches on the menu too. The appetizers to choose from were amazing. I tried to Brussel sprouts and would recommend them! My pumpkin beer came with a beautiful and tasty cinnamon sugar garnish!!

UPDATE 09/26/2025.- The Vegetarian Asian Miso salad was pathetic. There were A LOT OF RICE with 10 edamames, 2 measly pieces of mushrooms and some coleslaw chucked in, which almost seems like the cook didnt give a damn. And we were charged an extra dollar for the dish that was supposed to be $21.99!!! I was very disappointed with the way it was prepared and served. JULY review - Emma our waitress was excellent. We had the Brussels sprouts and pretzel appetizers which were tasty, the sauce for the pretzel was a little salty for our liking though. Good food at a beautiful location. They have done a wonderful job with the grounds. Wildflowers and outdoor spaces that invite you to explore the outside. The food was good and the drink CREAM was excellent! We had a server training 2 other servers and they did a wonderful job. We will be back!

Comfort meals. Plates to share. Kid friendly. Plenty of parking. Live entertainment is seasonal for outside seating. Clean and well maintained service and grounds areas. Reasonable prices. Friendly and engaging staff.
