We went to The Q in Boston on Christmas, and it was absolutely buzzing — lively, crowded, and full of energy. Reservations were a must, and we were glad we planned ahead. What really stands out about The Q is the breadth of the menu. It’s not just one style of Asian cuisine — they offer Chinese dishes, Japanese options including creative signature sushi rolls, an extensive Thai menu, and of course, hot pot, which seems to be the big draw for many diners. We didn’t try the hot pot this time, but seeing so many tables enjoying it made it clear we’ll be back specifically for that experience. The variety makes it a great choice for groups because there truly is something for everyone. Whether you’re in the mood for sushi, classic Chinese dishes, flavorful Thai curries, or an interactive hot
My friend and I enjoyed a fantastic dinner at The Q last Saturday, where the lively yet cozy atmosphere made it perfect for catching up without any rush. We had some excellent refreshing drinks, including a standout lychee martini crafted by the bartender and his partner, who were incredibly respectful and generous with their recommendations and pours. It was a flavorful, generous meal that left us happy and eager to return—highly recommend this Asian fusion spot!
We stopped in on a Friday night around 6 p.m. with no reservation and were lucky they were able to squeeze us in. Great little spot with a cool Asian-inspired vibe and a fun atmosphere. We decided to try the hot pot for the first time—no idea what we were doing—but our server was amazing. She walked us through everything and made the whole experience easy (and honestly, a lot of fun). We went with one spicy broth and one non-spicy broth, and everything we cooked up was delicious. We also ordered a sushi roll—the Red Sox roll(I think)—and it was fantastic. Fresh, flavorful, and beautifully made. All in all, a great spot to try something different in Boston. If we’re back in town, we’ll definitely eat here again.
The place way packed but it felt so intermittent ! Our waiter was amazing and knowledgeable about gluten free things to get!! Fancy C. Thank you so much! Even though it was New Year’s Eve you made it feel like any other night! Amazing!!! Will definitely be back again! Oh and the food was on point! Definitely slayed the house!!
I would give more than 5 stars for service alone if possible! The waiter was extremely attentive and friendly! The food was delicious, the sushi boat for 2 was a generous amount of food, more than enough for two people. The drinks were fantastic.
