The Primary Commons

My wife and I had a great dinner here. The menu is small and changes often, but everything offered during our visit looked good and the dishes we tried were excellent. The service was friendly and attentive, and the overall atmosphere felt elegant and inviting. It’s the kind of spot that works perfectly for a date night. The only hiccup was a bit of a wait for a drink from the bar. It took about fifteen minutes to arrive, even though there were only a few tables seated at the time. Since the restaurant is still new, I chalk that up to growing pains. The soft background music and relaxed feel made the evening even better. We’re looking forward to coming back and trying more of the rotating menu.

Had the opportunity to visit this restaurant laser night. It was excellent in all aspects. The physical plant and grounds were fabulous. In door or out door seating super nice restrooms. No Mixologist and attentive wait staff. The old fashioned was wonderful. The grounds were impeccable as well. The food was excellent. Pumpkin soup citrus salad Wagu flat steak and ribeye steak pasta and other entrees made it to the table and we graduated to the clean plate club. This is a destination restaurant we drove up from Shreveport and would recommend it highly. Attention to detail in every aspect of the experience was what I felt.

Took my husband out for his birthday and he received a delicious complementary dessert. His sea bass was moist and flakey and my Wagyu flat iron steak melted in the mouth accompanied by a bright, zingy chimichurri sauce. Our waiter, John, was a pleasant young man and the atmosphere - decor was lovely. Great place for a celebration dinner or for making date night extra special.

We had a great experience at The Primary Commons. I ordered the steak which was so tender and had the banana foster. My whole meal was delicious! The atmosphere inside is incredible. You could see there was thought put into every part of the design. I would highly recommend the Commons for anyone in Texarkana or Nash, Texas.

The physical space is excellent and the servers are professional. The food options are limited and the menu posted online was not up to date. The night we went the menu consisted of either $50-$70 entrees (steaks mostly) or other very basic (chili, brats, chicken pasta) $20-$30 entrees. The chili tasted like ground beef with Williams chili seasoning packets mixed in for $20 a bowl. The restaurant has a lot of potential, but this first visit it seemed pretty ordinary and overpriced.
