Food and dessert were delicious. You can order food from the menu or choose the hot/salad buffet and pay it by the weight. Service was nice. The Portuguese lady was our waitress, she struck the perfect balance between attentiveness and giving us space and she was also quick to answer our questions about the menu. I would definitely go back there.

New to East Falmouth, this Portuguese eatery caught our eye despite having a limited number of reviews. It's a low-key spot, set up like a deli featuring a lunch buffet, pastries, desserts, and savory snacks like pastels. The displays have stuff during the day, but options dwindle by evening. The ambiance is ultra-casual, with deli-style formica tables making you feel like you're in a quick-service restaurant. The owners are a Portuguese-Brazilian couple, with the wife's Portuguese uncle in the kitchen. Although they don't serve alcohol, feel free to bring your own from the liquor store next door. Excellent, well-prepared food, and plenty of it. This place is just fantastic! It's an unpretentious Portuguese restaurant, family run. The young woman waiting on us was so kind and attentive. We ordered a steak dish, a seafood paella, and a seafood stew, to share among three people. It could have easily fed five, well. Everything was perfectly cooked, but especially, the seafood was not overcooked, which meant it was tender and delicious. We will definitely be back soon.

We were in the area and found The Portuguese on Google Maps. We walked in and were greeted and the man explained all the options of different pastels, pastries, take out and sit in choices. The food was warm and delicious, and the energy from the workers were so warm, kind and happy. We’ll definitely be back!

I placed an order this weekend for my husband birthday party. The restaurant was well recommended from a friend of mine. Their quality is amazing and I couldn't be happier with my choice. I would like to mention that they have an Excellent customer service, Célia always answered my questions right away, helped me with all the details, from choosing the dishes to delivery. The food was delicious, very well prepared, very well packaged, all the guests loved it and everyone asked for the restaurant phone number. I Recommend this restaurant 100% and I’ll definitely be buying more from Celia and her team.
