The Porch

I stopped at this spot on a whim. I was in the area for HEB but I dare not go to the grocery store on an empty stomach so I popped into The Porch. I had the southern scramble which was biscuits with sausage gravy with scrambled eggs and potatoes. I devoured the entire thing. Super delicious. I added Tabasco but the sausage had a lil kick to it. The Only thing I was like "ahn could be better" was the lemonade. I was hoping for fresh squeezed southern style lemonade but it was fountain drink. But overall would visit again. Service was speedy and pleasant.

Good breakfast, cozy atmosphere and wasn't a bad choice. I ordered the Steak and Eggs with hashbrowns and upgraded to French Toast price was about $21.00 which seemed like a good value. Then saw the price of the black coffee for just under $5.00 and wasn't impressed. All in all food was cooked well and had a decent experience.

Catfish with eggs and grits were so tasty. Grits had perfect texture. Great portions and attentive service.

Where do I start….EVERY THING was delicious. I don’t have a picture of the mixed vegetables because they were too delicious to stop eating and take a picture… giggles. I ordered a side salad, mixed vegetables and fried catfish. This is my third delivery order of fried catfish and it has arrived hot and perfectly seasoned every time! Hidden gem for sure!!!!!! Home style food the entire family will love!

The environment was very welcoming. The booth was sat in irritated mine and my child's legs because it was torn up. Felt like a bug kept biting us. The restroom was not clean. The walls and door were filthy. The waitress was great and the food was really good. There was another waitress that wasn't ours that was super loud. So loud she was making breakfast not so enjoyable. She was over the top. But over all, I'd be back. The food was perfect.
