The Pit BBQ

After a couple of recommendations from my barbecue loving friends. I stopped by the Pit BBQ in Battle Ground Washington. So glad I did. The pork ribs were outstanding. I had the collard greens for my side and they were done to perfection. I stopped by to let the owner know how much I enjoyed the collard greens and he proudly shared with me that they were his grandmothers recipe. They have a large covered area for seating for the food court venue. All in all a satisfying experience.

Had the sampler platter and everything was cooked to perfection! Could have used more BBQ sauce to go tho. Greens were delicious, corn bread was on point!

I might have gotten here on a bad day. I asked a few questions about the pulled pork vs. tri-tip and was told to order what I wanted. Unfortunately, mine was not hot (temperature), and the corn on the cob was not only a very small cut it was well over cooked. My wife enjoyed her chicken sandwich but I found it lacking flavor. The Cole slaw was quite good. The food truck Parc is family friendly but the music was a bit too loud.

Oh my my! The food here is incredible. First though, Rich, the owner is awesome! Friendly, great service and a pleasure to be around. I was able to try the ribs, pulled pork and tri-tip. The meat is perfectly seasoned. So much so that he doesn't even need BBQ sauce! I also had the baked beans and they had a nice smoked flavor while not overly sweet like many places do with the baked beans. I can't recommend this place highly enough. Also can't wait to get back there and try the chicken which apparently uses a seasoning Rich gets from Iceland.

$19.99 for two SLICES of brisket that weren't even bbq d. Pretty positive they were cooked in a slow cooker. Worst I've EVER had and OUTRAGEOUSLY over priced. Will not be returning. The only good thing about this place is the spot it sits at where you can grab a bite to eat at one of the better food truck options there, a beer from the brewery and let your kids play.
