The Patty Wagon

This has to be one of the best food trucks on temple, must try the oxtail rice platter. It’s so worth it it’s only 15 bucks, and the potato cheesecake is so good too!

The Jamaican Patty Wagon is a rare gem on a campus already full of outstanding food trucks. I ordered the jerk chicken sandwich and it exceeded all my expectations. The portion was huge--multiple pieces of chicken, so many that some kept falling off the sandwich. The meat was tender and had that real sweet/savory/spicy jerk flavor. Chiles, ginger, and allspice. The crisp lettuce provides a great complimentary texture. The acidic tomato cuts through the heat. I don't know what's in the "Wagon Sauce," but if it came in a bottle, I'd buy it and add that sweet, rich yumminess to everything. The coco bread is soft and pillowy, it soaks up all the sauce and juice. My only criticism is that the sandwich is too big to not be served cut in half. I suspect I'll be ordering from The Patty Wagon oft

I’ve been wanting to try this for a while. Unfortunately they weren’t serving tacos today so I went w/the curry chicken w/rice & cabbage plus plantains. Delicious!!! Probably the best Jamaican food I’ve had in the area and super cost effective!! Can’t wait to try some more things!! I will be back!
