The Patron Mexican Restaurant and Cantina

Great waitress, but food was ok. Used to love coming here, but something has changed. The salsa was very watery, and chips were broken into little pieces. Maybe we just came at the wrong time, around 3 pm.

We pulled over to get gas and a break from the drive. We were going to go to Chili’s but decided on Mexican. The first person to great us got our drinks, then when she came back with them she said I will give you a few more minutes. Then a guy brought chips to the table. Then another came to take our order. Someone new brought our food then we never saw anyone again. We had to ask for the check from the hostess. Never got a refill on our water never saw anyone again. The food was just ok. I would never go back!

The service is acceptable and the place is clean on the surface but the portion size isn't what it used to be. I used to get arroz con pollo every time I went there and the portion used to be exceptional for the price and now only the price has gone up and the portion size has decreased substantially, with my plate more than 60% of it is topped off with vegetables to make it seem lager than it is and the vegetables aren't even listed on the menu otherwise I would've asked them to take it off my dish beforehand. But I had to ask them for more rice on the side since my plate was mostly empty after I took the veggies off.

Took my daughter here and she definitely enjoyed the restaurant. The chips and dip came out very quickly. The chips were replenished quickly. The food was seasoned well and there were good portions. The guacamole was priced appropriately and there was options on the amount or portions for the guacamole. The restaurant was very nicely decorated. The restrooms were clean and all the staff was very nice.

Delicious! (Our second visit!) Service, food, and atmosphere is fantastic! Highly recommend quesadillas, enchiladas, salsa, chips, and margaritas. The price is reasonable, and drink specials happen frequently! Only thing I can say is for some passing service members be careful gossiping in Spanish, you never know who is listening. 😂
