The Patio at 1578

My (now) husband and I had our rehearsal dinner at The Patio at 1578. I couldn't have asked for a better rehearsal dinner. Everything was absolutely perfect. Mark and Kim worked with us to create a wonderful family-style Italian feast for our around 30 guests. We arrived around 5:30 and started off with delicious cocktails. We had 3 hors d'oeuvres (bruschetta, lamb chops, and arancini) which were all delectable and served on trays. The main course was a summer salad, bread, and three family-style dishes: tagliatelle bolognese, risotto milanese with shrimp, and fettuccini carbonara. For dessert we had a fruit preserve filled ice cream coated in chocolate. Mark and Kim were so accommodating to those with special dietary restrictions. Reservations are required and it is truly a destination if you are visiting the Pemaquid Area. It’s a beautiful location and an incredible dining experience. I was there for a work function.

Kim and Mark do an incredible job here. Fantastic view, great patio, and stellar food. Full bar is a plus. At $40/person, the set menu did not leave us wanting. Good sized portions, great variety of local flavors, and wow did that raspberry chocolate mousse impress!

A very special meal that captures all of what I love about coming up to Maine. A low-key family-run restaurant with a beautiful view of the water. Phenomenal kaleidoscope of flavors cooked up with fresh ingredients. Open just a few nights a week with set menu; meal begins promptly at 6. Call ahead to find out the chef has ready for you.

A delightful, bespoke dining experience! I just photographed a wedding there a few days ago and it was a beautiful venue and Kim was so nice and welcoming.
