The original guys

I met yousef at this food truck in NYC, he is very nice guy and the food was very cheap and delicious. I ordered chicken over rice and he add a lot of side items like salads and spices. There are some couch seats in the front of the truck, so i set comfy and eat. The price is amazing, I got a very big plate of food for 10 bucks and the guys didn’t force me to tip them. Thanks original guys for your services and delicious food!

These guys are misunderstood and not appreciated. To most they call these guys the "copycats " , at one point yes but once Halal Guys became a franchise and changed their recipe, if you want the old school 53rd and 6th where they still have lamb this is the cart. This cart reminds me how good they used to be. Anyone from the 90s and 2000s that want to relive those days this is the cart. These guys all used to be with the Halal guys before they became a franchise. Im glad they exist.

Food is ok. Beware THIS IS NOT THE HALAL GUYS. It was designed to look likethe Halal Guys on the same block but if you look closely it says “The Original Guys”. Very misleading…. I hope I don’t get food poisoning like some of the reviewers here🤢

This brought back memories of the original halal street food from NYC. He filled the to-go platters with meat and rice unlike the franchised halal guys restaurants across the country who have higher prices and are stingy on serving size. The quality and taste of meat was far better too.

The food is very delicious. If you’d like to try it, I recommend this place—you’ll love it.
