The Old Oak Tavern

We’ve been coming to The Old Oak for over 3 years, and it’s easily one of our favorite local places. It’s the kind of spot you can count on — warm, welcoming, and always good food. We’ve tried just about everything on the menu at this point, and have had great experiences across the board. Their specials deliver! What really makes The Oak special, though, is the team. We’ve interacted with just about every member of the staff over the past year or so, and they’ve always been friendly, attentive, and genuinely care that you have a good experience. You can tell they work hard and take pride in what they do. It’s become our go-to for both a casual night out and a spot to bring friends, family and out of town visitors. Wow!! Don't miss this wonderful dishes & service. Great food. Calamari with Peppers & marinara. Blackened shrimp tacos with mango. Jambalaya with sausage and shrimp. Baby back ribs with mashed potatoes. Great long list of beer & wine & cocktails. Definitely try the Phresh New England IPA from Alvarium in New Britain CT

Staff was too busy working on the dinner rush, totally did not take pride in anything they did. We seem to be in the way. Watch out if you go for lunch, the last page of the menu is off limits. Why do they even have the specials in the menu if you can't order. Well done steaks when asked for medium. Asked for wine after we finished our cocktails, no wine but more cocktails. Never will go back again

After reading the fabulous reviews of the Old Oak Tavern I highly recommended it to friends as a place to meet. When we arrived and saw the front of the building (slightly run down) we were a bit apprehensive. We shouldn’t have been. We sat inside the historic building with wood beams, beautiful moldings and charming decor. The outside seating area is also lovely. The food was excellent. The Tavern burger was cooked perfectly and the fries were crisp and tender. Service was friendly and our server was very helpful answering questions about the menu. So happy we overcame our appreciation and enjoyed a wonderful meal.

I have to say that I've driven past this place many times throughout the last couple years. It never stopped. I am so happy that I had dinner there last night. Emily the bartender was the sweetest kindest person I truly have ever met. She been over backwards for every request I had. The food was absolutely amazing The atmosphere was really cool. Well worth a visit. Again thank you guys for a great dinner out.
