The Newton of Ypsilanti

We absolutely loved celebrating our wedding at the Newton, having a catered dinner for our wedding party and the reception as well as staying in the historic inn in their beautiful rooms. The menu created for us was so perfect and we are still dreaming of the food, all our guests were so impressed. Allison and Chuck as well as the whole staff are so helpful and thought of absolutely everything to make our weekend there so special and we are forever grateful we could have the Newton and the whole team be apart of our wedding. The inn is in the perfect spot, within short walking distance of Michigan Ave where you can go out for dinner or drinks and come back and spend time on the porch and then have a delicious breakfast prepared the next day. We loved the Newton! We felt very welcome, our host was very responsive and the house is beautiful, large and convenient. The owner explained about the history, showed us the beautiful old basement. We sat on the porch, full of flowers, we couldn’t stay longer unfortunately. Highly recommended for lovers of historic buildings.

The Newton is a gem and one of a kind experience. I rented the room for my family visiting from out of state. The check in was easy-peasey. The website mentions if you can dream it they can make it happen. They went above and beyond. We got to visit with Chuck while enjoying a nightcap and hearing about the history of the tavern. Chuck is full of knowledge and he was a delight. Will surely be having family stay here in the future visits.

We would definitely give the Newton of Ypsilanti 5 big fat stars ! Our stay was quiet, comfortable and in a convenient location. We stayed in the Newton suite and it was a very quaint room with the softest bedding that felt like a “warm hug”!! Because of our schedule, we arrived late and left very early so we didn’t get to enjoy the many extras that the Newton has to offer, hence - -this retreat is on our list of ‘must stay again’.

I left The Newton a week ago, and it's still top of mind. It is the best B&B I've ever stayed at. It's walkable to cute shops, the decor is unique and historic (there's a tavern in the basement!!), the service was delightful, and the food ruined me for other places. Chef Allison and Chuck were knowledgeable, friendly, and professional. I loved the white noise machines in every room and the bed was so cozy. I hope to retreat here again.
