The New Madison Restaurant

Arrived at The New Madison diner on a busy Saturday morning around 10 o’clock and seated myself at the café bar. All the tables were full my entire hour stay. I had sausage, egg and cheese on a bagel that was barely toasted and buttery. The sandwich was very good. My home fries were supposed to be with fried onions however, the onions were so burnt but the coffee was fresh! The atmosphere has an old school diner charm. The decor consists of pictures of local residents on all four walls, honoring the patrons here. Family owned, handed down from father to son.”Dean”, Xanthis Lekas is the current owner, who hopes to hand it down to his family. The staff is very friendly, especially Casey, and quick to respond! Great place for home style meals!

My breakfast was phenomenal. For the meat I got kielbasa. Outstanding. The right amount of chew. This is a seat yourself place. I wish there was a sign on the door about that. If there was, I missed it.

Where do I start? Quaint little place but the food and service are excellent! They are taking lots of COVID-19 precautions and each booth has plastic in between the others. The coffee here is delicious, they have lots of different breakfast specials, and are very reasonably priced. The food here is absolutely delicious and fresh!

Hubby wanted a greasy spoon for homemade home fries. I wanted a cheap breakfast that was close by. We both won! Def revisit.

There are many good things about this restaurant. The service was respectful, kind, attentive. They really did keep an eye on coffee cups. The food was complete in the right amount of time, yes, mostly because these gravies had been made on site earlier in the day, but so scrumptious.
