The Nest Restaurant

FOOD Fantastic "high-end" seafood restaurant, with wonderful food. If you have never visited and you like seafood, you owe it to yourself to visit. They have a few other things on the menu, but the focus is seafood. I had their swordfish special which I have never had, but has now become my favorite fish. I only hope other places not only serve it, but it is even half as good. SERVICE Chris our server was fantastic, she made our celebration event even more special. She was friendly, prompt and you could tell she is a hard worker. Thank you Chris! ATMOSPHERE Beautiful restaurant white table cloth type high end feel. Even the restroom was gorgeous, probably weird, but I added a restroom photo for proof.

Friday 13. O boy. Sat at bar. 2 nice bartenders. Hah 2 martinis. Lemon drop and pear. Wife love pear. Lemon drop was strong. But it was a martini. Wife had baked orange stuffed roughy. She liked it. I drove 45 minutes for escargot They weren’t on their limited menu. O well. I ordered 3 appetizers. Cup of crab soup. Was not close to being hot. Oysters on the half shell. Creamy excellent. Sampler platter. 2 shrimp excellent. Fried mushrooms and zuchinni. Could not eat. Burnt beyond recognition. Crab hotel. Crab with a balsamic vinaigrette. Nice presentation. But could not taste crab. Would have preferred it plain. Just remember everyone’s taste buds r different. But that’s my store and I’m sticking to it

My dad has 50 years experience in the food industry and he proclaimed that this place was completely elegant! The food and service are definitely 5 stars! The best inland seafood restaurant. The menu choices were fresh and were well prepared by skilled chefs. Every morsel was absolutely perfect. The presentation and service were top notch

Our first visit, but not our last! We’ve lived in the area for 30 years and finally made it to the nest. We were welcomed by the friendliest hostess, felt like we were visiting a home of a friend. Our waitress, Alaina, was the friendliest, most hospitable server we’ve probably ever had. She was knowledgeable, kind and a super person to guide us through the evening meal. We thoroughly enjoyed every aspect and every minute of our dining experience. A true gem in downtown Jeannette!

If you want a gray lobster, go see Manny and his crew at the nest in Jeanette. The lobster is exquisite. Please see pictures below. The lobsters are huge. Best in the Pittsburgh area although not cheap the food is really good and the service is good. Try this place that you will love it.
