The Nest at Stone Eagle

Went to dinner at this new winery for the first time since they were offering their seasonal showcase menu at $75 pp. The ambience was lovely and the service is excellent. Their wines are quite pricey compared to Two Sisters Winery and while good, at over $30 for a glass of wine, not justifiable IMO. It’s great that they offer a cocktail menu unlike their other Two Sisters restaurant. Their food was really good. The steak, while good, was slightly under seasoned. For the mains, the scallops were a tad small and while I enjoyed it, I found the addition of the nduja not to my liking. To start, we had the goat salad and the lobster bisque with a good amount of lobster- both delicious. We also decided to add octopus- good and tender although the portion was a little small. Ladies night out was amazing. The location was spectacular. Our server Rowan was the best. Paid attention to allergies and ensured our plates would be safe for us to enjoy. He really enjoys his job and does it well. The food was so delicious. Each plate was so well crafted.

Had an awesome dinner at The Nest at Stone Eagle Winery. The place is truly immaculate. We started with the foie gras and sourdough which was unreal. Had the short rib and lamb risotto for the entrees both had incredible flavour and presentation. Our server was super friendly and knew the menu really well. Honestly one of the best meals I’ve had lately. Definitely worth checking out if you’re in the area.

It was the kind of meal that reminds you how satisfying thoughtful food, good pacing, and genuine hospitality can be when they come together so effortlessly. He was attentive without ever hovering, friendly in an easy and unforced way, and consistently considerate from start to finish.
