I think they got bored here. We had the duck, crab porridge, salad, and chocolate pudding. The flavors were there but nothing gave me a wow. Duck was dry, the chicken at Zuni was much better. After eating at Ernest and side A nearby and being blown away I was disappointed to see The Morriss is nowhere near the same level. I’d rec going elsewhere. Surprised to see the 4.7 on google. 6% added fee on bill.
Blew me away. I cannot wrap my head around how good the duck is. The texture is and the flavors are unlike any preparation of duck I've ever had in any cuisine. The salad is perfect, the spiny lobster Crudo was so flavour packed and fresh, both being the perfect appetizers for the main event which was the duck. This is an absolute MUST. I usually don't order duck places because I'm always skeptical if people can cook it right but someone brought me here and recommended it and indeed, it was perfection. Then, as if it couldn't get any better the ice cream or some of the best ice cream I've had in my life. Sometimes when people do alcoholic ice creams it's too heavy on the alcohol and the texture is off or it's too hot in my throat, these guys really figured out how to extract the flavors o
One of my favorite restaurants in San Francisco. Excellent food, especially the homemade charcuterie and cheese selection. Also fantastic cocktails, and a great wine selection. The Morris never disappoints! PS Get the Chartreuse Slushy as an aperitif. 😉
The Morris , let me try to capture all the good things that are going on here. So we gave this place a try on a Thursday evening and it's certainly surprising how busy this little place is. The place is rather narrow and the ceiling is rather low. Congratulations to the decorator for making the place feel inviting and warm. I love the open kitchen at the entrance, it gives you a good glance at the various dishes and your nostrils will be on high alert absorbing the various smells. The staff is super attentive friendly and has a fantastic memory as they remember which guest ordered which wine and brought the correct bottle for refill without having to ask. The food. we really enjoyed the appetizers. The pork cracklings were yummy and rather light great for sharing and best with a cockt
This is a wonderful, friendly, culinary experience. The entire Morris team is so fun, and really want everyone to have a great experience. No detail is missed, even the soap in the bathrooms. If you don't order a Chartreuse slushy, you need to go back and have one.
