The Monks Indian Bistro - College Station

On vacation of our anniversary. And wife tied saree for the second time, we happen to decide go to this restaurant over brick oven pizza. Ordered Dynamte Chicken biryani, Vegitable biryani. Atmosphere and Service are very good. Dynamite chicken has more oil and longer chewy. Wife liked Vegitable biryani and give 4.5 start. As a appetizer we had Manchurian paneer, must try4star.

While this was our first experience at the restaurant, my Son had visited it 2 to 3 times in the past. We ordered three dishes - Paneer Dynamite, Paneer Biryani and Chicken Biryani. All the dishes were awesome. The taste of the dishes were no different from what we get back there in India, so it was really an awesome experience. We requested to Medium spicy for our Paneer Biryani, which we found slightly on a higher side in terms of spiciness, but that's my personal opinion. They have good vegetarian options and hence recommend for vegetarians, too. Service was prompt and staff was courteous. Restaurant has a pleasing ambience with light music. Ample parking available.

The food was exceptional. We ordered the butter chicken curry, tikka masala curry, fried chicken biryani, and garlic naan, and everything was incredibly fresh, flavorful, and served hot. The flavors were spot-on! very proper, authentic Indian taste. The restaurant itself is extremely clean and well kept, with a modern and cozy vibe. The overall atmosphere feels happy and welcoming. The staff was very friendly, portions were generous, and the spice level was perfect, plus they’re flexible and happy to adjust it to your preference. Honestly, no complaints at all. Amazing food, great people, great vibe. We’ll definitely be coming back.
