The Metropolitan, American Diner & Bar

This is the nicest "Diner" I can recall going to. Very nice atmosphere. Fantastic Service, not typical these days. The menu was expansive and interesting. You can have eggs, toast, and drink some wine.

This was a great find! Michele was our waitress and she was as sweet as can be. The atmosphere was inviting. The food not only came out fast but the portion sizes are very generous. We definitely want to go back.

My family and I made reservations for four people at 6:15 PM. We were seated in less than 20 minutes. It was packed and people had to wait over 40 minutes. Make sure to reserve a time before going! Our waiter sat us in a booth that gave us comfort and privacy. Drinks, bread and butter were provided right away. We had Philly cheesesteak egg rolls and the Metropolitan Caesar Salad as appetizers. The salad was grand (the eggs and scallion made it even better). Our main dishes were amazing! Portion sizes were all generous. My parents ordered the shrimp and scallop in crab sauce and shrimp and scallop linguine. I ordered the blackened tuna ahi wrap with sweet potatoes. Each dish was beyond delectable. 10/10

We stopped in on a busy Saturday night. Initially given a 45 min wait, but were able to be seated in 10-15 min. Drinks, soup, appetizers and entrees were all outstanding! Carl did such an amazing job taking care of our 6 top and had us all laughing. Would absolutely return and ask for Carl, if he’s working :)

Upscale diner ambiance with a huge menu, good food and friendly service! I was impressed! My meatloaf dinner was delicious and a hardy portion. Chili appetizer was also very good!
