The Meating Place is serving up some really delicious burgers, sandwiches, and hot dogs at their food truck on Meriden Road!! The double smash burger was excellent, and the ribeye steak sandwich was perfect with just the right amount of cheese and onions. The fish sandwich was nice and crispy, and the lettuce was so fresh with it. They serve my favorite Hummel hot dogs too! We noticed that their prices were very reasonable, and they had plenty of picnic tables to sit at! The family running the truck was very nice, and it felt good to help support them! I’ll definitely be keeping their truck in mind as a great option that’s close to where I live!

Nice little spot for when you have those backyard grill ballpark food cravings! Their menu is limited, but sometimes I prefer that. I had the single smash burger with cheese, lettuce, tomato, ketchup, and mayo along with regular fries (they have steak fries, which are not my favorite type of fry, so I had my fingers crossed for it to be good.) All the items seemed fresh and had great quality. The food had the perfect amount of grease to it which helps add to the flavor and feeling of this type of food, but not overwhelming with grease. They give you nice cup of ketchup to dip your fries in and I did enjoy the fries (slight crips on the outside, fluffy on the inside, just how a steak fry should be). Amazing people, and an incredible menu. Got a to go order from them yesterday, and HIGHLY recommend this spot. Great outside dining area, and they do things for kids and families like back to school movie nights. The food? 10/10 without a doubt.
