The Mark Addy Inn Bed & Breakfast

We stayed at Mark Addy over Labor Day weekend and enjoyed it very much. The room was clean and spacious. Breakfast each morning was excellent. I have a gluten sensitivity and expected just to not get the morning baked good with my breakfast. Instead, I was presented with a gluten free muffin or bagel each day. That is a welcome treat! The staff is very friendly and we felt very welcome. They are also pet friendly, which is a big plus. We would recommend Mark Addy 100%!

My wife and I celebrated our One-Year Anniversary here. The service was wonderful, the food was scrumptious, the room was beautiful. We did the Brewery crawl of the Blue Mountain, Wild Wolf, and Devil's Backbone, and had a wonderful time. Our driver was extremely pleasant and accommodating, and very knowledgeable of the area. We had breakfast both mornings we were there, and it was simply wonderful. The other guests were also quite pleasant; it was as if the guests themselves were part of the amenities! We are already talking about coming back soon, perhaps in the Autumn, and are starting to plan our trip. I believe anyone traveling here will have a great experience.

We stayed at the Mark Addy Inn for five nights and it was a very good experience. We had reserved a room but when the innkeeper noted that we were staying for five nights, she upgraded us to a larger room at no additional cost. This was very nice but also unnecessary as the room we had reserved would have been just fine. Breakfast each morning was three courses: something fruity, some pastries, and then an egg-based main course. We were impressed that breakfast changes daily. Coffee was always available even early in the morning which was very much appreciated. There is also a community kitchen that includes a refrigerator/freezer for use by the guests. ||The room itself was certainly comfortable. We were so excited to find this for an anniversary trip. We were greeted with an excellent tour of the home. Reading the history and seeing the lovely reality got our stay underway. We had a five star dinner our first night. The chef made everything exactly to our personal requests. He accommodated these at every meal. Every three course breakfast was fresh and delicious. We recommend this location and accommodation and plan to return. It is so convenient to all that Nelson county offers.

We were taking a two-day break to visit a couple sights in the Charlottesville, Va area and found this place on the internet. Excellent choice. The room was clean and cozy, and the hospitality could not be beat. Our innkeeper, Leslie, took a great deal of time with us, showing us our room, pointing out other features of the inn, and making sure we were all settled. She also recommended several restaurants for our dinner. Gabby, our breakfast hostess, was equally wonderful, and the breakfast fixed by Chef Brandyn was awesome. We are lookng forward to our next visit.
